RICS Home Survey (Level 1)

RICS Home Surveys comprise a physical inspection of the subject property and a report based on the level of survey. Level 1 surveys (formerly Condition Survey) and reports give professional advice on:

• The construction and general condition of the property on the date it was inspected any defects that need urgent attention or are serious.
• Things that need further investigation to prevent serious damage to the fabric of the building. 
• Serious defects or issues that may be hazardous to safety and where further enquiries are needed.

The report does not include the cost of any work to put right defects or make recommendations on how these repairs should be carried out. Some maintenance and repairs suggested may be expensive.
